Radius of Curvature
The radius of curvature formula is used to determine the radius of curvature from the material and the surface power of the lens.
Surface Power Formula
The surface power formula is used to determine the power of a surface from the material and the radius of curvature of that surface.
Flat Transposition
Flat transposition is used to change a prescription from minus cylinder to plus cylinder or from plus cylinder to minus cylinder.
Oblique Meridian Formula
The oblique meridian formula is used to find the approximate power of a lens in any meridian.
Compensated Power
The compensated power formula is used to determine what power of lens needs to be ordered when a high-power prescription is going to be worn at a different vertex distance than it was refracted at.
